A works licence application for the construction of a new hoist dock at the Wight Shipyard, Venture Quays site at East Cowes, has been received by Cowes Harbour Commission.

This application, submitted to Cowes Harbour Commission by Beckett Rankine Ltd on behalf of Wight Shipyard, seeks to secure a works licence in order to complete construction works for the proposed new hoist dock within the area adjacent to Venture Quays, see diagram below. This application is open for consultation until 22nd March 2021. Any comments must be submitted before this date to the Harbour Master in writing to the Harbour Office, Town Quay, Cowes, PO31 7AS or by email to chc@cowes.co.uk. The work is anticipated to commence April 2021 and expected to take 14 weeks to complete.
