The Isle of Wight Classic Buses, Beer and Walks Weekend 2018 is on its way, taking place on 13th and 14th October 2018. 

Joining the event this year with a brewery artefacts exhibition and local historic displays, is The Sugar Store at Shepards Marina, owned by Cowes Harbour Commission and run as an Events Centre and also one of the official venues for the world famous Cowes Week Regatta.

Founded as a commercial wharf by the Shepard family in the 18th century, Shepards Wharf was the only legal quay on the Island for landing foreign goods. The Sugar Store Warehouse gained its name at that time from the large amounts of sugar delivered to the Island by British Road Services barges and continued to safeguard the Island’s sweet tooth into the times of the sugar shortage in 1974!
