Kingston Wharf based boat builder Island RIBs have just launched their latest model, the Island 7.5m, at the Southampton Boat Show in September. Built by hand from original designs using brand new tooling, the Island 7.5m RIB was the first big product launch for the company. 

“We had already sold three boats pre-launch so we were hoping for a good reception at the Show,” said Managing Director Alex Cottle, “but the response was really fantastic, beyond what we had hoped for.

“It is very exciting for us to have a product we worked so hard to develop so well received. We have even had to employ another shipwright to enable us to increase production.”

Encouraged by the success of the Island 7.5m, the team have plans to continue expanding their range of new designs over the coming year.
