Earlier in the summer, the Isle of Wight Council launched its draft Regeneration Strategy with the aim of ensuring the Island becomes an inspiring place to grow up, live, work and visit. Following July’s Regeneration Conference, the discussion about the new draft strategy continues online with a web consultation, inviting everyone to express their views about the way the Island should be improved for the future.

Cowes Harbour Commission will consider the IWC draft Regeneration Strategy at its September Board meeting and will then submit a formal response to the Council.

The next series of Regeneration Strategy discussion meetings will take place this September, with five events in different areas of the Island, including Cowes (Shepards Marina) and East Cowes (Town Hall).

Reniera O’Donnell, IWC Assistant Director of Regeneration, said: “We have had a lot of input in making the draft strategy, and now it’s time to get real – we want to engage businesses, organisations and people across the Island in how these ideas are turned into reality.

“There are a few weeks for people to read the new strategy and then the next round of discussions will help us agree our Regeneration Strategy until 2030.”

The consultation is available online and the draft Regeneration Strategy can be viewed at iwightinvest.com. The consultation runs until 12th October 2018.
