Get ready for Cowes Week!

Have you got your Cowes Week berth booked? Berthing in Cowes during the regatta is in very high demand so it is recommended that you get your berthing sorted out well in advance to avoid disappointment. See the event website for full details of all Cowes Week berthing options available in the harbour and on the River Medina

All Cowes Harbour Commission managed Cowes Week moorings must be booked in advance at Shepards Wharf Marina, Whitegates River Pontoons, the Cruiser Class Swinging Moorings and Day Class Swinging Moorings. Find out more here.

The Cowes Week regatta has evolved enormously since its early beginnings in 1826, and now over 800 boats in up to 40 different classes race over eight days. It is this mixture of classic and ultra-modern designs that gives the regatta its unique flavour. Several classes that raced 50 years ago are still racing today and new classes are included as they increase in popularity.

In 2016, the newly-formed Fast 40+ Class chose Cowes Week as one of their five core events for its first season and will be participating again in 2017. The Fast 40+ Class represents the most competitive home-grown handicap inshore keelboat racing that the UK has seen since the heyday of the Admiral’s Cup. Together with the new Cowes Week Triple Crown, a mini-series for big boats and up to 40 classes out on the water, spectators ashore and afloat can expect some exciting and exhilarating racing action.
