An application has been received for a maintenance dredge licence at East Cowes Marina.

Location:
East Cowes Marina (ECM), Britannia Way, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, PO32 6UB.

Description of the Proposed Work:
The area to be dredged includes all of the East Cowes Marina site. The final dredge level will be to approximately 2.5m below chart datum (CD). It is estimated that the average depth of removal will be 1 metre. The amount of spoil dredge material to be removed is approximately 100,000 cubic metres. The work is aimed to commence in December 2019 with approximately one third of the marina being dredged every three years. The license is to extend for 10 years.

Cowes Harbour Commission has not raised comments or objections to the Marine Management Organisation.
