Cruise ships calling at Cowes

Wednesday, 22nd August saw cruise ship MS Europa, operated by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, pay a visit to the Isle of Wight, anchoring off Cowes and tendering her passengers in to Trinity Landing.

Visit Isle of Wight’s Travel Ambassadors, along with our own German speaking Moorings Administrator from Shepards Marina greeted passengers on The Parade and gave out tourism information to help enhance their stay on the Island.

A range of tours had been organised for cruise guests by Excursions Ltd, including a visit to Osborne House, a guided walk from Old Shanklin to Bonchurch, lectures in Ventnor, and vintage cars that transported guests around the Island in style. Passengers also had time to wander into Cowes town for refreshments and shopping before heading back by tender to the Europa.

The next cruise ship to visit will be Ocean Majesty on Tuesday, 11th September with passengers likely to be disembarking from around 0900 and the ship due to stay all day until 1900. Information about all forthcoming cruise visits and maiden calls can be found on our website: cowesharbourcommission.co.uk/cruise.
