Cowes is welcoming its first cruise ship visit of 2021

On Tuesday 29 June, Cowes will be welcoming its first cruise ship visit of 2021.

The Hebridean Sky underwent an extensive, multimillion-dollar renovation that transformed it into one of the finest small ships in the world. Accommodating 75 passengers from around the UK, the ship will be anchored in Cowes Roads for the day.

Cowes Harbour Commission, Isle of Wight Council and Public Health England have all been in consultation to create a Cruise COVID Management Plan for the Harbour. The implementation of the plan allows passengers to visit the island safely and within the current Government guidelines.

Further UK only cruises are currently in the planning stages with Cowes listed as a schedule stop, so we do expect to see more ships visiting the island as the Government continues with their relaxation of COVID restrictions.
