Cowes Harbour fairway buoys Nos. 2A and 4 have been realigned to make full use of the available depth of water and in order to widen the Inner Fairway to ease navigation by providing a straight line from No. 2 buoy to No. 4A beacon.

Mariners are advised that the navigable depth of water reduces to 2 metres below chart datum on the eastern extremity of the Inner fairway, therefore deeper draught vessels should navigate with caution near spring low water periods. Also note that the water outside of the red port-hand buoys to the east will be 2 metres below chart datum or less.
