Cowes Harbour joins Cruise Britain

Cowes Harbour Commission is delighted to have joined Cruise Britain, the business-to-business network for UK cruise ports, destinations and service providers.

Capt. Stuart McIntosh, Cowes Harbour Master said: “Membership of Cruise Britain is a key next step in our ongoing initiative to attract more visits to Cowes from small to medium-sized cruise ships. We look forward to working closely with Cruise Britain and networking directly with the cruise lines operating Northern European itineraries.”

Director of Cruise Britain, Kay Greenway said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Cowes Harbour Commission to Cruise Britain. We’re confident that membership will deliver benefit to the Commission by raising the profile of Cowes and the Isle of Wight in the cruise world, both with cruise lines and with industry across the UK, and support Cowes’ ambitions for increased cruise business.”

Next month, Cowes will host a record four cruise ship visits, including three maiden calls:
Monday 8th July: Europa, 0800-1800
Friday 12th – Saturday 13th July: The World, arr. 1000 12/07 dep. 1800 13/07
Monday 15th July: Seabourn Quest, 0800-1700
Thursday 18th July: Silver Wind, 0800-1800

Cruise passengers will benefit from the new land and water-based trips introduced this season by shoreside tour operators to enhance the range of authentic, exclusive excursions and bespoke, curated experiences for cruise passengers visiting the Isle of Wight. New excursions that are proving popular this year include ‘A Taste of Royal Cowes’, ‘Cowes by Bicycle’, ‘The Needles by RIB’ and ‘Ventnor Botanic Gardens’.
