Cowes Harbour Commission reviews its management structure

Over the past few years, the activities of Cowes Harbour Commission (CHC) have expanded to the point where the Harbour Commissioners recently recommended that it was time for an in-depth review of the management structure. This has now taken place and the resulting recommendations will ensure that the management structure remains fit for purpose, taking forward and into account CHC’s increased commercial services, development plans and succession planning.

One of the priorities that is about to be implemented is the creation of a new position of Marine Services Manager reporting to the Chief Executive, Capt. Stuart McIntosh, which is being advertised on the open market. The role of the Marine Services Manager will be to take responsibility for ensuring that all the day-to-day marine services are delivered on site to Cowes Harbour customers as per Commission policy.

John Price, Assistant Harbour Master, intends to take this opportunity to take well-deserved early retirement and is planning to leave the Commission at Christmas after 40 years of loyal service.
