Four CHC team members including two Patrol Officers have successfully completed the Advanced Powerboat CoC & Commercial Endorsement training with Cowes-based Rebel Marine.

Congratulations are due to Dan Westwood, Jason Moore, Jack Jones and Troy Denham who have recently all passed the challenging RYA/MCA Advanced Powerboat exam, which is a practical test of skippering ability by day and night. 

CHC invests year-round in a wide range of development and training courses to strengthen and enhance the skills of our “on water” and shoreside teams. The Patrol Officers are on duty 365 days a year, come rain or shine, and carry out harbour patrols using conspicuous yellow RIBs, which may display a blue flashing light when attending an incident. They are contactable on VHF Channel 69 and can help with general enquiries and give mooring instructions, but please remember to keep your communications brief as Ch69 is also the port working frequency.
