In just a few days’ time, the 2015 sailing season in Cowes will get going with the RORC Easter Challenge and JOG’s Cowes – Cherbourg – Cowes Race, both taking place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend (3rd to 5th April).

In the months that follow Cowes will again enjoy a host of high profile events including, of course, the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race in June, Panerai British Classic Week and Charles Stanley Cowes Classics Week in July, and Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week in August.

On 1st June 2015 the Royal Yacht Squadron will be celebrating their Bicentenary, exactly 200 years since the inaugural Squadron members’ meeting at the Thatched House Tavern in London. The RYS has planned a varied programme of celebrations on and off the water for the duration of the year and highlights include a special Fleet Review on 5th June and the RYS Bicentenary International Regatta from 27th-31st July.
